Sick Week!

This is my nephew Porter Hine.

Haley is looking at me like, "Momma, not another picture!"

Haley is taking after her Aunt Devon and playing the piano. She will like music!

Haley is stuck in between the bar stool legs.

Well, we spent most of this week in the doctor's office. Haley had a cold that turned into an ear infection in both ears. That was the first time she has been that sick. She woke up Wednesday night with 103 degree fever. She is usually smiling and talking, but all she did was cuddle up beside me and moan. I now understand how moms feel when there is nothing you can do to help your child. It is amazing what the good old "pink medicine" will do. She was smiling and playing the very next day! We had many sleepless nights this week so not much picture taking was done. Here are a few pictures that I took today. The first picture is my precious nephew Porter. I just had to post this picture. He has the cutest dimples I have ever seen! I think he looks like my sister Maria in this picture. Have a great week everyone!

Play Time

Well, Haley and I have been pretty busy lately. My mom came over last week, and we took her to get a shot in her back to relieve some of the pain she is having due to a herniated disk. After Momma left Charleston, I went back to her house to help her clean up because she could not do anything for a while. Please pray that her shot works and relieves her pain. Then, Monday night Haley and I went over to Rachel's house to eat supper. My friend Sally from PC came over too with her little boy Michael who is three days older then Haley. They had so much fun playing together. I have posted some pictures from that night. By the way, Haley does have red hearts on her overalls so she looks like a girl. :)

Babysitting Samantha

Tonight we went over to my friend Jenna's house and babysat her daughter Samantha. Today was Jenna's birthday so she and Brian went to eat her favorite food...sushi! Samantha is 2 1/2 years old, and she just loves taking care of Haley. She tries to feed her and be her mom. It's so cute! Haley just loves watching her. Here are some pictures I took of them tonight for Kelby to see.

Bath Time!

One of Haley's favorite things to do is get in the tub. She must be related to her Daddy who also loves taking baths! Haley had her first cold and fever this week. She had to go to the doctor for her first sick appointment. He just said that she had a cold that would get better on its own. If Haley is fussy, putting her in the tub will make her happy again so I thought I would take some pictures!

A Day with Bonnie

We babysat my friend Jenna's daughter Samantha, and she loves to take care of Haley!

Haley loves Bailey and Samson, but they are still unsure about her. They just leave when she tries to touch them.

Haley has found the dog food and the water bowl!
Haley is discovering her tongue when she talks. It's hilarious!

Just a funny face!

Bonnie came to hang out with us Thursday, and I thought I would post some pictures we took. We are so excited to have Bonnie living in Charleston. I am also going to post some pictures I took of Haley when I was playing with my new camera.

Thursday Update!

This week has been pretty busy. I started a Bible Study at church on Tuesday morning called Esther by Beth Moore. I am very excited about it. It is through our church, and childcare is provided so Haley has other kids she can play with. Also, Tuesday night we went out for Rachel's birthday at Chilis. Haley really loves to eat, and she is very fascinated by what I am eating. She has started to eat more solid foods like puffs, cheerios, and pieces of crackers. Her favorite fruit is still banannas, and she loves turkey and rice baby food and apples and ham. Haley is growing so much. She is starting to get into the "wanting Momma" stage. She has figured out how to pull up on my legs so that I will pick her up. It's amazing how fast children can learn to manipulate you into getting what they want. Today, we went to Quiznos and ate lunch with two friends from PC, Sally and Bonnie. Sally also has a 7 month old little boy Michael. Her husband is in the army and is deployed also. We just realized about two weeks ago that we are both in Charleston and our children are three days apart! We are planning to get together more often now so that Michael and Haley can play together!

Andrea's Baby Shower

Well, Haley attended her second baby shower Sunday. Our friend Andrea is having a baby girl in March or early April so Rachel hosted a shower for Andrea at her house. She was showered with many gifts, and we played a game where everyone was given a safety pin when they came in the door. The trick was that no one could say the baby's name Ada. If you heard someone say Ada, then you could steal their safety pin. The person with the most safety pins by the end of the shower won Well, carrying on the Hagerla/Wilson tradition, I won. It is scary to think how competitive Kelby and I are and how Haley will probably be that way too! We are probably going to be in for a real treat! :)

Friday Night Pizza

Since the guys are gone, Rachel Pinkerton has Friday night pizza at her house for a chance to get together and hang out! Rachel is so nice to open up her house. We all enjoy talking and playing with the kids. Rachel's house is baby proof and has a great set-up for children to run around and play. Haley is learning a lot as she watches all the older kids. The older kids don't quite understand that they cannot play rough with Haley, but just give her a few months and she'll be playing right along with them!

Haley is Learning!!

My mom came over this week and helped me take care of Haley while I was sick. She taught Haley how to wave bye bye. Also, our friends Brian and Jenna taught Haley how to throw both hands up in the air when you ask her how big she is and you say "so big!" It is so cute! I thought I would post some pictures of Haley waving so Daddy could see her.

Little Kelby

Haley is already getting into sports. Tonight she found Kelby's softball bat on the floor and she worked on that bat for a long time trying to figure out how it works and what it is supposed to do. She is one determined little girl. I can already see Kelby and I in her with how stubborn she is and how she does not give up on anything! Excuse the shirt. Haley is the spit-up queen, and she always seems to spit up right after I take her bib off.

Down and Out

Well, it has been a few days since I updated the blog because Haley and I have been sick with the stomach virus. On Monday, we went to my best friend Bonnie's apartment to eat lunch with her, and it was downhill after that. I came home with the stomach virus, and then Haley caught it that night. My good friend Jenna rescued me and took Haley for the night while I was up all night long with my good friend Mr. Potty!! Tuesday, Momma came down to help with Haley while I rested. Haley was feeling much better! As of Thursday, Bonnie has caught the virus and so has my mom so this thing must be very aggressive! So not much has been going on this week. I did take some cute pictures of Haley today and some video of her, which I will post later on!

Haley's Saturday

Today we went to see my roommate from college Laura Cole. We went to Atlanta Bread Company and Barnes 'N Noble. She has not seen Haley since she was 3 weeks old so she was excited to get to see her. Haley has changed so much since she was 3 weeks old. She is crawling now and pulling up on everything. She babbles all the time ( I wonder who she gets that from), and she puts everything in her mouth. She loves tags and cords right now. I am in the process of totally "baby proofing" our house.

Haley loves our golden retrievers Bailey and Samson, but they don't really pay much attention to her yet. Today for the first time, Bailey let her pet him and try to climb on him. I think he will love her more and more as she learns to walk and learns how to give him food. :)

Bye Daddy!

Haley and I told Kelby goodbye for while he is deployed. I decided to start a blog so he can walk with us through Haley's daily life. We were very sad to see Daddy go, but we know that Kelby is fulfilling God's plan right now for his life. I show Kelby's picture to Haley every day and tell her how much her Daddy loves her. So join me as I keep Kelby updated on what is going on in Charleston while he is away.
